What you will do:
- Provide expert occupational therapy services to the multidisciplinary team on the treatment ward, including individual and group interventions adhering to the Royal College of Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics.
- Use MOHO evidence-based assessment tools to perform baseline functional assessments and make informed recommendations for ongoing care.
- Develop connections with other Occupational Therapists in acute and community mental health settings to ensure seamless continuity of therapy when necessary.
- Manage a complex caseload of service users with severe and enduring mental health challenges, implementing evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care to plan and evaluate treatments.
- Integrate personal recovery principles with clinical expertise to enhance service users' quality of life, supporting them to achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives.
- Provide expert training and advice on mental illness and physical health impacts, guiding lifestyle changes and adaptations, including recommendations for equipment and environmental modifications.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be HCPC registered and have a valid driving licence.
