What you will do:
- Be the first responder to calls directed by our call centre, providing immediate clinical assessments and high-standard care within custody settings.
- Administer crucial healthcare interventions for minor injuries or illnesses, and arrange further medical care for complex conditions.
- Conduct forensic examinations to document injuries and collect DNA evidence where necessary.
- Provide medical assessments for police officers or staff injured on duty, ensuring they receive appropriate care.
- Comply with PACE legislation and maintain precise clinical records available for the company.
- Evaluate cases of alcohol and drug intoxication and withdrawal, including conducting mental health and learning disability assessments.
- Collaborate with our clinical team to enhance medical services.
- Stay competent with clinical and forensic practices through continuous development.
Qualifications / Requirements / Person Specification:
- Registered Nurse or Paramedic with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience (or more depending on the contract).
- Valid NMC or HCPC registration.
- Experience working within A&E or similar clinical environments.
- Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
