Job Role of the Automation Engineer

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Automation Engineer to join a modern, high-tech food manufacturing site. You will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding, and improving automated production systems, ensuring maximum reliability, efficiency, and compliance with food manufacturing standards. You will work closely with engineering, production, and continuous improvement teams to deliver robust automation solutions and drive plant performance.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• PLC fault-finding, modify and programme - Siemens and Allen Bradley 

• Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.

• Hands-on experience with reactive, preventative, and breakdown maintenance in fast-paced environments

Requirements for the Automation Engineer

• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Experience with PLCs, HMI, and SCADA systems

• Recognised electrical or automation engineering qualification

• Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment

Desirable Requirements for the Automation Engineer

• Experience within food manufacturing or FMCG environments

• Experience working with robotics and industrial networks

• Previous experience as an Automation or Maintenance Engineer in the UK
