What you will do
- Support the effective delivery of services within SEND, ensuring smooth coordination, administration, and information collation in line with statutory guidance.
- Provide high-quality confidential support related to the coordination and implementation of SEND team duties.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including parents/carers and schools, maintaining communication through professional correspondence.
- Manage information efficiently, keeping documentation up to date on shared systems with a keen eye for data security.
- Assist the entire SEN team in ensuring documentation is accurately recorded and accessible.
- Organise meetings, workshops, and events, ensuring timely circulation of papers and follow-up on actions.
- Provide admin support for the team's response to Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests, meeting deadlines and statutory requirements.
- Partner with colleagues to develop effective processes and provide training to new staff, bolstering the administration service model.
- Aid the wider SEND Service, managing emails, minutes, correspondence, and diaries, offering support to senior team members as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the SEND Service Business Support Team to ensure timely and compliant responses to enquiries.
Essential Requirements
- Substantial recent experience providing administrative support in a busy SEND service or related environment.
- Proven ability to maintain and update databases, handle queries professionally, manage shared email inboxes, and support meetings and panels effectively.
- Familiarity with SEND case management systems, excellent organisational skills, and attention to detail.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in Preparing for Adulthood services or a Business/Administrative Support Officer role within SEND services.
