What you will do
- Manage a caseload of children and families requiring assessment, support, and safeguarding intervention.
- Undertake Child and Family Assessments, Section 17 Child in Need assessments, and Section 47 Child Protection enquiries in line with statutory timescales.
- Analyse risk, identify protective factors, and develop evidence-based plans to safeguard children and promote their welfare.
- Complete direct work with children to understand and represent their wishes, feelings, and lived experiences.
- Chair and contribute to strategy discussions, Child in Need meetings, core groups, and other statutory forums.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
- Successful completion of Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) where applicable.
Registration & Compliance
- Current registration with Social Work England.
Experience
- Minimum of two years' post-qualifying experience within Children's Social Care.
- Demonstrable experience of frontline safeguarding and assessment work.
