Location: Knowsley, Merseyside (On-Site)
Contract: Temporary (12 Weeks)
Hours: Full-Time – 36 Hours per Week
Pay Rate:£30.00 per hour (PAYE) or £39.45 per hour (Umbrella)

About the Role

Seven Resourcing is recruiting for an experienced Social Work Advanced Practitioner to join a Children’s Social Care service in Knowsley.

This is a senior practice role supporting high-quality social work delivery across complex children and family cases, providing professional oversight, guidance, and leadership within the team while maintaining a small caseload.

You will play a key role in ensuring safe, effective, and child-focused practice across assessments, interventions, and safeguarding work.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced-level social work practice across Children’s Social Care
• Support and guide less experienced practitioners within the team
• Hold and manage complex cases where required
• Contribute to high-quality assessments, plans, and interventions
• Ensure robust safeguarding practice across all casework
• Support decision-making in complex and high-risk situations
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to improve outcomes for children and families
• Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory requirements
• Contribute to service improvement and best practice development

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with current registration
• Significant experience within Children’s Social Care
• Experience managing complex safeguarding cases
• Ability to provide informal leadership and professional guidance
• Strong assessment, planning, and report-writing skills
• Excellent communication and multi-agency working ability
• Strong understanding of statutory social work frameworks
• Enhanced DBS required
