Job Title: Director of Food and Beverage
Salary: €50,000 gross per annum + bonus
Location: Rome, Italy

This lively, multi-purpose destination property in Rome is seeking a Director of Food and Beverage to lead the team at their lifestyle hotel in the beautiful city of Rome.

We’re looking for an inspiring and strategic leader to oversee the F&B operations of one of the most vibrant, community-focused hospitality destinations in the city. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a dynamic team, craft unforgettable culinary experiences, and be part of a broader international hotel group with a presence in 5+ countries across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, catering services, and special events tailored to a varied guest profile.
• Develop and implement innovative operational strategies that drive revenue growth, maximize profitability, and ensure outstanding guest satisfaction across multiple service channels.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, multidisciplinary team to deliver consistent, exceptional service and foster a positive workplace culture.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and supplier negotiations to optimize operational efficiency.
• Oversee planning and execution of menus, promotions, and events that align with guest preferences and current industry trends.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards while maintaining quality control.
• Collaborate closely with senior management, culinary teams, and other departments to align food and beverage offerings with overall business goals and community engagement.
• Act as the primary liaison for key clients and partners regarding food and beverage services and event coordination.
• Monitor market trends and competitive positioning to continuously innovate and enhance offerings.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven senior management experience (5+ years) in food and beverage operations, ideally within hybrid accommodation environments or diverse hospitality properties.
• Strong strategic, financial, and operational acumen, including P&L management.
• Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with a focus on performance development.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to adapt in fast-paced, multifaceted hospitality settings serving a broad demographic.
• Passion for delivering memorable guest experiences and fostering community-centered hospitality.
