Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team in Greater Manchester. This locum position offers a highly competitive hourly rate of £39.00 and the flexibility to work either part-time or full-time, depending on your personal and professional commitments.

You will play a vital role in safeguarding children and supporting families, working within a collaborative multi-agency environment to ensure that the welfare and safety of children remain the top priority.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, assess, and triage referrals relating to children who may be at risk of harm or in need of support.

• Gather, analyse, and share information from partner agencies to inform threshold decisions and ensure appropriate interventions.

• Identify and manage risks in accordance with statutory safeguarding responsibilities, making sound professional judgments to protect children.

• Provide clear recommendations for further action, including Child and Family Assessments, Section 47 enquiries, or Early Help interventions.

• Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date case records in line with local and national policies.

• Actively participate in multi-agency discussions, offering professional insight to aid collaborative safeguarding decisions.

• Contribute to a culture of learning, development, and continuous improvement within the MASH team.
