Senior Practitioner – Family Safeguarding Team (Fenland), Cambridgeshire (UK), Hybrid Working, £41.50 per hour. Looking for a fulfilling role that makes a tangible difference? What you will do:
- Complete statutory visits for Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC).
- Chair CIN and Core Group Meetings, ensuring well-coordinated care plans.
- Hold a caseload of CIN, CP, and CIC, including some cases in Pre-Proceedings (PLO) or Section 31 Care Proceedings.
- Prepare court reports, and conduct risk and parenting assessments with a focus on accuracy and detail.
- Support and actively participate in the duty rota.
- Attend Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPC) and Review Child Protection Conferences (RCPC), and draft comprehensive conference reports.
- Have an active role in risk management and assessment, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families.
Requirements of the Senior Practitioner:
- A degree or equivalent in social work with current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant frontline experience within UK Social Services as a qualified social worker, demonstrating your capability in dealing with demanding situations.
