An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Team Manager in children's services to join the Child Protection/Safeguarding Team in Barnsley. You'll be leading a dynamic team of seven dedicated social workers, including one Advanced Practitioner, to tackle complex safeguarding cases. Your role will be pivotal in driving effective performance and ensuring high-quality assessments and interventions. What you will do:

• Manage a team of 7 social workers and 1 Advanced Practitioner in the Child Protection/Safeguarding Team
• Oversee and guide complex safeguarding situations to ensure the safety and well-being of children
• Drive effective team performance and support your team in producing high-quality assessments and intervention strategies
• Co-ordinate team activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Provide leadership and professional development opportunities to team members
• Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture for continuous improvement
• Engage with families and external agencies to facilitate positive outcomes for cases
