Senior Practitioner - Connected Carers Team in County Durham

County Durham's Connected Carers Team is calling for a highly skilled Senior Practitioner to join our dynamic group in an ongoing locum contract position. Located in Seaham, this full-time role offers an attractive rate of £32.73 per hour.

We're seeking two experienced social workers for our Connected Carers Team to undertake vital assessments and provide essential support. In this role, you will complete Reg 24 viability assessments and Full Connected Carers assessments, helping children stay with connected family members or friends.

What you will do:

- Conduct Reg 24 viability assessments and Full Connected Carers assessments to ensure suitable placements for children.
- Provide guidance, supervision, and reviews with our Connected Carers to facilitate their transition into caregiving roles.
- Uphold the values and objectives of the Connected Carers Team, promoting the welfare and interests of children.
- Work closely with children, families, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, contributing to the team's knowledge and understanding of fostering services.

Requirements of the Senior Practitioner:

- Degree or equivalent in social work.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant frontline experience in UK social services as a qualified Social Worker.
