Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant: Key Responsibilities
As a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging STEM lessons across Science, Maths, and related subjects
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to help students master challenging topics and build confidence
- Assist with lesson planning, classroom activities, and practical experiments

- Develop the skills, knowledge, and experience needed for teacher training or education careers
Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant: Who We’re Looking for
To be successful in this Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant role, you should have:
- A 2:1 or higher in a STEM-related subject (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) – Russell Group or top-30 university preferred
- Strong Academics throughout GCSE’s and A-Levels
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young people
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly
- A proactive, positive attitude with a genuine interest in education
- Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring) is desirable but not essential
