In this full-time, term-time Graduate Physics Teaching Assistant role, you’ll work closely with students who need extra support in Physics—helping them boost confidence, deepen understanding, and achieve their academic goals.
Graduate Physics Teaching Assistant – Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted academic support in Physics lessons
- Lead small-group work and 1:1 intervention sessions
- Collaborate with teachers to develop tailored support strategies
- Identify and address learning gaps
- Foster enthusiasm for Physics and encourage scientific curiosity
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment
Graduate Physics Teaching Assistant - Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a motivated and passionate graduate who:
- Holds a minimum 2:1 degree in Physics or a closely related subject (e.g., Engineering, Astrophysics, Natural Sciences)
- Has strong subject knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Possesses excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
- Is genuinely committed to inspiring young learners
- Ideally has prior experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, school roles)
- Aspires to pursue teacher training or a career in education
