We are searching for Occupational Therapists with extensive experience in social care and management roles. Our ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of legislation, adaptations practice, and equipment use. As the Occupational Therapy Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a diverse team consisting of Community OTs, Early Intervention OTs, and a small number of Children’s OTs, supported by three Assistant Team Managers. Your role involves driving success in a community setting while reporting to the Head of Service, who shares your occupational therapy background.
What you will do:
- Oversee and manage a team of community-based Occupational Therapists, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Support and develop your team by providing guidance and mentorship to practitioners of varying expertise.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders within the directorate to enhance the OT service and its value recognition.
- Utilise your strong understanding of legislative frameworks, moving and handling practices, and equipment management to optimise service delivery.
- Drive innovation and ongoing service development to meet the evolving needs of the community.
Requirements:
- You must hold an active HCPC registration.
- A current driving licence is essential due to the nature of the role.
