  • Operate within a specialist clinical area as an autonomous professional, developing skills and knowledge in neurological rehabilitation, potentially acting as the sole clinician with remote supervision if needed.
  • Take professional accountability and responsibility while managing and prioritising a caseload of service users with complex mental and physical health needs or challenging behaviour.
  • Complete the OT process, utilising evidence-based and service user-centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions, particularly in complex cases.
  • Address occupational performance and skill deficits, enabling service users in self-maintenance, productivity, education, and leisure activities.
  • Develop and oversee care programmes, ensuring effective handover to rehabilitation support workers or therapy assistants, monitoring and modifying treatment according to the neurobehavioral model.
  • Engage sensitively and flexibly with service users, family/carers, and agencies, considering the most appropriate environments for assessment and intervention.
