An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Podiatrist to join a dedicated Diabetes Team in Dorchester. This ongoing locum position offers flexibility in working hours, with both full-time and part-time options available. The role is ideally suited to a skilled and experienced podiatrist seeking to make a meaningful impact in the treatment of complex diabetic foot conditions, while enjoying the benefits of working in a supportive and multidisciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage a complex caseload of high-risk patients with acute and chronic diabetic foot conditions.

• Deliver expert podiatry care for patients with musculoskeletal, vascular, and neuropathic lower limb complications.

• Provide wound management and post-operative care for patients recovering from amputation or other diabetic foot surgeries.

• Collaborate with hospital and community care providers to develop and implement holistic and effective care plans.

• Offer clinical leadership in the planning and coordination of individualised treatment interventions.

• Maintain accurate records in line with professional and organisational standards.

Essential Criteria

• HCPC registration as a qualified Podiatrist.

• Proven experience in high-risk foot care and diabetic foot management.

• A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between sites may be required.

• Strong clinical assessment and wound care skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
