Your Key Responsibilities are:
Customer Experience
- Get to know guests’ preferences and expectations to deliver memorable dining experiences
- Address and resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring positive outcomes
- Build rapport with regular guests and proactively manage VIP or special requests
Operational Procedures
- Organize and oversee staff schedules, manage shift changes, and ensure smooth handovers
- Lead pre-shift briefings: update the team on events, promotions, menu changes, and set the tone for service
- Consistently monitor service flow; optimize table turnover and address bottlenecks
Staff Management & Development
- Identify staff training and development needs; design and deliver engaging training programs
- Mentor and onboard new staff, guide daily performance, and offer constructive feedback
- Implement motivational strategies to retain and energize the team
- Maintain a positive, collaborative workplace culture
Equipment & Maintenance
- Ensure all restaurant equipment is fully functional; perform basic troubleshooting and escalate issues
- Oversee regular deep cleaning and maintenance routines
- Keep first aid supplies up to date and enforce fire safety practices
Emergency & Safety Procedures
- Be well-versed in all emergency and crisis protocols
- Lead by example on health and safety, hygiene standards, and documentation (HACCP compliance)
Technology & Systems
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) and reservation systems confidently
- Use inventory management solutions (e.g., Growzer) to forecast, order, and track stock efficiently
- Process gift card transactions and maintain related logs
Community & Vendor Relations
- Cultivate friendly, respectful relationships with suppliers and community partners
- Offer personal touches—like a coffee with a delivery driver or genuine conversation with local partners
Active Tasks (Main Focus)
- Deliver excellent customer service and address complaints
- Conduct daily pre-shift briefings and staff support
- Mentor, train, and assist team members; ensure knowledge of menu and procedures
- Monitor food/beverage quality and service standards
- Enforce a zero-tolerance policy on drugs/alcohol for a safe workspace
- Ensure a clean, inviting, and vibrant environment at all times
- Communicate weekly updates to management (staff progress, client feedback, operational insights)
- Issue, activate, and track gift cards
What You Bring
- Strong leadership and people skills with a positive, team-playing attitude
- Operational savvy in hospitality or food & beverage settings
- Excellent communication in English; other language skills a plus
- Energy, resilience, and a drive to make every day at work fun and memorable
- Attention to detail, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and innovation
- Familiarity with POS and reservation systems; basic knowledge of inventory and compliance best practices
