We are thrilled to offer an ongoing locum position for a Social Worker in our vibrant city of Birmingham. What you will do:

- Conduct in-depth Pre-birth Assessments with families, aiming to facilitate newborn babies being safely discharged to their parents' care.
- Take on a protected caseload of up to 10 families, working closely with them to inspire and maintain positive change.
- Progress Child Assessments to Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) Plans for unborn babies, ensuring their wellbeing from the start.
- Support families post-birth, providing guidance whether on a CP or CIN plan.
- Collaborate effectively with our partner agencies such as Birmingham Women's Hospital, community midwifery teams, and Family Support Services to safeguard each child's future.
- Initiate care proceedings when determined unsafe for the newborn to return home.
