What you will do:
- Run group exercise sessions and falls prevention classes tailored to meet the needs of our residents.
- Conduct assessments of residents’ needs in line with aged care standards and ANACC guidelines.
- Perform post-fall interventions and document accordingly to ensure comprehensive care planning.
- Deliver ANACC Pain Management Programs, including one-on-one treatments, exercise interventions, and group sessions.
- Implement and regularly update rehabilitation exercise programs to enhance residents’ physical wellbeing.
- Communicate effectively with a team of allied health professionals and medical practitioners to coordinate holistic treatment plans.
- Provide manual handling training and ensure competencies are delivered and maintained.
Skills needed:
- A degree in Physiotherapy is essential.
- Ideally, you will have experience in the residential aged care sector.
- Ability to build strong rapport with clients and work collaboratively with a team.
- Excellent communication skills are vital for this role.
- A valid police check or NDIS worker screening check is required.
- A valid driver’s licence will be necessary for travel between facilities and client locations.
