Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant – Brent

Contract: 1-Year Fixed Term
Salary: £110 per day minimum
Location: Brent, North West London

Are you a recent graduate eager to make a difference in education before pursuing a PGCE or teacher training route?

We are working with a high-performing and inclusive secondary school in Brent seeking to appoint a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant for the full academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate passionate about education and keen to gain first-hand classroom experience.

You will be supporting students aged 11–16, working closely with teaching staff across departments to deliver academic support in small groups and on a one-to-one basis.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons

• Providing targeted academic interventions for pupils who need additional support

• Supporting students with SEND or EAL needs

• Helping to manage classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment

• Gaining insight into how effective schools operate

About you:

• A recent graduate with a 2:1 or higher from a reputable university

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education

• Patient, resilient and proactive with a growth mindset

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, during term-time. You will be fully supported by an experienced senior leadership team and have access to professional development throughout the year. Several previous graduates have successfully gone on to teacher training from this school.
