What you will do:

- Guide staff in delivering care to patients/service users lacking capacity to make specific decisions, ensuring the Mental Capacity Act is lawfully applied within adult safeguarding.
- Collaborate with the Adult Safeguarding Team, supporting the Associate Director of Community Health and Social Care, to drive best practices and uphold statutory safeguarding responsibilities.
- Utilise specialist knowledge to provide guidance, support, safeguarding supervision, and training to Health and Social Care professionals.
- Represent Health and Social Care at multi-agency meetings regarding safeguarding concerns.
- Contribute to the operational delivery of the Mental Capacity Act and support process and system changes.
- Design and deliver training for all levels of staff, including mandatory induction and safeguarding education.
- Support governance arrangements within Mental Health and Adult Disability.
- Propose, manage, evaluate, and implement service development projects in collaboration with the Adult Safeguarding Team.
- Design and develop a data set for detailed statistical data collection.
- Participate in the Out of Hours Adult Safeguarding Service Manager rota as required.

Requirements:

- Post-qualification in Adult Safeguarding is essential.
- Must be HCPC registered.
- Car driver preferred to facilitate easy travel across this beautiful island.
