What you will do:

- Act as a Family Court Adviser, assisting families and courts in determining the most suitable arrangements for children involved in legal proceedings.
- Conduct thorough assessments and directly interact with children to understand their views and wishes.
- Represent children’s interests to the court through detailed written reports.
- Provide evidence and advocate for arrangements that truly benefit the child’s welfare.
- Employ robust risk assessment and mediation skills to guide families through challenging times.

Being a Family Court Adviser takes resilience, organisation, and deep-seated experience in social work with children and families. You will need to be a Social Work England registered social worker, confident in working independently and supported by a strong background in Section 7 - Private Law work.
