What you will do:

  • Complete assessments of family and friends as potential carers, ensuring thorough and creative exploration of their capabilities and needs.
  • Liaise with the Family Safeguarding Team to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the care planning process as endorsed by the court, making informed decisions that impact the wellbeing of children and families.
  • Bring a strong understanding of kinship care arrangements, particularly connected carers and special guardians, into your daily work.
  • Utilise your knowledge of fostering regulations and the National Minimum Standards to guide your practice.
  • Support kinship care arrangements, helping children remain within family environments whenever possible.
