What you will do:

• Supervise, mentor, and appraise staff; oversee their performance and professional development.
• Step into senior leadership roles such as Operations or Registered Manager when required.
• Ensure robust fostering practice and compliance with legal frameworks including Fostering Regulations, National Minimum Standards, and Ofsted guidance.
• Maintain high standards for assessments, audits, and safeguarding procedures.
• Oversee referrals, placements, and recruitment of foster and kinship carers.
• Allocate assessments and visits within statutory timeframes efficiently.
• Liaise with health, education, local authority, adopters, and external bodies such as Ofsted.
• Engage actively in panel preparations, support meetings, and foster carer training programs.
• Participate in an out-of-hours rota for foster carers’ emergencies, providing essential support when it matters most.
