What you will do:
- Implement and uphold the principles within the ward philosophy to ensure a uniformly high standard of care.
- Actively engage with the ward's goals and objectives, working collaboratively to achieve and maintain them.
- Apply the theory and principles of the agreed nursing model in day-to-day practice to provide top-notch medical and surgical care.
- Guide and support junior staff nurses and learners by acting as a named assessor, helping them to complete approved competency programmes.
- Facilitate both qualified and unqualified nursing staff in achieving learning contract objectives to develop specific competences.
- Continue to develop your own skills to promote evidence-based practice and ensure you stay at the forefront of nursing advancements.
- Participate in formal appraisals and performance interviews to set and achieve targets for your professional development, aligning personal and organisational goals.
- Show leadership skills by understanding the role of Team Leader and providing professional support to the post holder.
