Graduate Physics Teaching Assistant - What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting students during physics lessons, demonstrations, and practical experiments
- Preparing and organising equipment and teaching materials
- Providing one-to-one and small group academic support
- Encouraging critical thinking, resilience, and scientific curiosity
- Supporting revision sessions and helping students prepare for exams
- Assisting with classroom management and lab safety procedures
- Getting involved with STEM clubs, competitions, and enrichment activities
Graduate Physics Teaching Assistant - What We’re Looking For
- A 2:1 degree or above in Physics or a closely related subject
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for science education
- Experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching)
- Confident communication skills and a proactive, organised mindset
- An interest in pursuing a future career in teaching or STEM outreach
