What you will do:

  • As a highly specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will harness your expertise to perform thorough assessments and devise effective treatment programmes for patients with new stroke diagnoses.

  • Create tailored therapeutic resources aimed at improving communication and swallowing skills in stroke patients.

  • Collaboratively work with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic rehabilitation services, supporting a wide spectrum of communication and swallowing difficulties.

  • Offer invaluable feedback, advice, and training to family members, carers, and team members to aid in the development and implementation of communication and swallowing strategies.

  • Utilize your advanced clinical and technical skills to conduct interpretive assessments such as videofluoroscopic and FEES examinations.


To excel in this role, a Degree in Speech and Language Therapy is required, along with registration with the HCPC. Experience working within a community setting in the NHS is essential. A valid driver's licence is a must for conducting community visits and ensuring seamless patient care delivery.
