What you will do:
- Conduct thorough assessments and prepare detailed reports for the family court, focusing on the best interests of children and families involved.
- Provide clear, balanced, and evidence-based recommendations to the court regarding child arrangements, welfare concerns, and parental responsibilities.
- Liaise effectively with families, legal professionals, social services, and other relevant agencies to gather information and coordinate support.
- Attend court hearings to present findings and offer expert advice as required.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and organisational standards.
- Stay up to date with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in family law and child welfare.
Person Specification:
We are looking for a candidate with proven experience working in family law, social work, or a related field, ideally within a family court setting. You should have a strong understanding of the Children Act 1989 and other relevant legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, allowing you to engage sensitively with families and professionals alike. The ability to work independently, manage caseloads efficiently, and meet deadlines is critical. Professional qualifications in social work, law, or family support are highly desirable, along with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
