Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: Up to £520 per week

Are you a Psychology graduate looking to build experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

Are you considering a future in educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or child and adolescent mental health?

A welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a dedicated Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their support team from September. This is a full-time, term-time role—ideal for graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in an educational setting that aligns with careers in psychology or therapeutic professions.

Key Details:

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

  • Pay: Up to £520 per week

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Contract: Academic year with the potential to become permanent

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with a range of SEN including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional needs

  • Work one-to-one and with small groups to deliver tailored interventions

  • Assist with personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies

  • Collaborate with educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, and other specialists

  • Build practical experience relevant for further training or postgraduate study

Candidate Profile:

  • A recent Psychology graduate (2:1 or above preferred)

  • Passionate about SEN and child development

  • Empathetic, patient, and adaptable with excellent communication skills

  • Experience in a care, mentoring, or SEN support role is highly advantageous
