Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, support, and manage a skilled team delivering high-quality and responsive family help and social work services.

  • Serve as the lead professional in statutory interventions including child protection, care proceedings, and looked-after children cases.

  • Conduct in-depth assessments of need and risk; coordinate multi-agency interventions for safeguarding children.

  • Collaborate with health and social care professionals to promote the safety and welfare of children.

  • Develop and deliver tailored care plans and support packages for children with complex needs.

  • Represent the service in court proceedings, advocating for the best interests of children and ensuring robust legal protection.

  • Strategically plan care for children who are unable to remain within their family environment due to safeguarding concerns.
