Job Title: CNC Lathe Setter / Programmer
Location: Crewkerne, Somerset
Salary: £12.38 - £16.00 PH DOE
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, day shift (39 hours per week)
Contract Type: Permanent
Start Date: ASAP (subject to interview)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Lathe Setter / Programmer to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Crewkerne. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a safe, supportive environment with long-term prospects for the right candidate.

The Job:

• Setting and operating CNC lathes (2, 3, and 4 axis)

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and setup sheets

• Programming CNC machinery using relevant software

• Performing tool changes and adjusting machine settings as needed

• Running test cycles and ensuring components meet quality standards

• Using measuring instruments to verify precision and tolerances

• Identifying and resolving machine issues or defects

• Maintaining equipment and performing basic routine maintenance

• Working collaboratively with the production team to ensure efficient workflow

The Requirements:

• Proven experience setting and/or programming CNC lathes

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Familiarity with different types of CNC controls and software

• Strong attention to detail and quality

• Solid understanding of health and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
