Removals Operations Controller in Manchester, North West

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Removals Operations Controller to work for our established Removals client, offering packing, removals and storage services in Manchester.
As Removals Operations Controller, you will support the Branch Manager in three key areas: Compliance, Service and Profitability. On a typical day you will be responsible for the utilisation of a specific resource to ensure maximum efficiency; profitability and customer service is achieved through structured planning, monitoring and management of the daily operation. Ensuring full compliance to Operating Standards, including Health & Safety, Transport Legislation and Maintenance records.
Removals Operations Controller duties include:
- Achieving revenue and profit targets
- Control costs by driving efficiencies
- Control and manage compliance systems
- Control and manage H & S systems
- Day to day operational control
- Manage, motivate and control staff
- Liaise with sales team to ensure maximum utilisation and margin
- Ensure superior service delivery to clients both external and internal
- Ensure bookings are completed correctly and efficiently
- Liaise with central administration team to ensure good communication and utilisation of fleet
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation and company rules
- Help reduce number of claims and complaints experienced
- Assist the Move Coordination team in the swift and professional settlement of claims
- Ensure jobs are completed within the removal schedule and Regional productivity levels
- Minimise the number and frequency of late Removal Crew arrivals
- Reduce Absenteeism
The Removals Operations Controller will have knowledge of Transport Legislation, Fleet and Maintenance controls. Commercial awareness and good planning skills are essential. You must be a confident communicator and competent at problem solving, as well as IT literate.
We are keen to speak to experienced professionals who have leadership skills and good knowledge of removals processes, fleet maintenance and transportation regulations.
In return, the successful Removals Operations Controller will be offered in the region of £30,000 in line with experience.
