Kiln Operative in Stoke-on-trent, West Midlands

We are recruiting for a Kiln Operative in the Stoke-on-Trent area!

Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm

£12.21 an hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating gas and electric kilns according to production schedules
• Loading and unloading ceramic tiles and occasionally brick slips from kilns carefully and efficiently
• Conducting regular quality checks on fired products to ensure consistency
• Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of kiln equipment
• Identifying and troubleshooting kiln or firing issues
• Recording kiln data and maintaining accurate production logs
• Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
• Assisting in other areas of production as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with kilns preferred but not essential, training will be provided
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good understanding of health & safety requirements
• Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy loads
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
