Maths Teacher in Worcester, West Midlands

Are you a dedicated Maths Teacher looking for a full-time roll within a secondary school?

Flourish Education are working with a local school in Worcestershire who are seeking to appoint a teacher on a temp-perm basis to work within their supportive department.

As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students, ensuring their success through engaging and effective teaching strategies.

This role would be on a long term to permanent basis and aiming to start ASAP!

As this is a long-term supply teacher role, you will be expected to:

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons to Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students, including A-level, GCSE, Functional Skills, and lower-level Maths in line with the national curriculum.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs) and high achieving students.
• Work alongside Teaching Assistants to provide additional and individualised support.
• Build relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
• Comply with the school behaviour policy and implement strategies for excellent behaviour management.
• Planning, marking and assessing required.

Required Skills and Experience for the Maths Teacher role:

• Maths specialist

• Confident in teaching KS3 and KS4 maths, as well as GCSE and up to A-Level

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) with experience teaching Maths.
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and differentiation strategies.
• Excellent behaviour management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment.
