Job Title: Residential Support Worker - Children's Services
Location: West Glamorgan
Pay Rate: £15.95 per hour (Umbrella)
Additional: Sleep-in rate available for night shifts
Contract Type: Flexible ad-hoc shifts with potential block bookings

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking dedicated Residential Support Workers to work within children's residential care settings across West Glamorgan. These roles offer flexible ad-hoc shifts, with the possibility of block bookings depending on availability.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in residential environments. You will help maintain a safe, nurturing space, encourage positive behaviours, and support the development of independent living skills.

Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver care and support to young people within residential settings

· Assist with daily routines, personal care, and social activities

· Implement care plans to support individual needs and personal development

· Maintain a safe environment and follow safeguarding procedures

· Manage challenging behaviours with empathy and resilience

· Keep accurate records of daily activities and support provided

· Work collaboratively with staff to promote the well-being of children and young people

Essential Criteria:

· Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent

· Proven experience in children’s residential support work

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills

· Positive, patient, and adaptable approach

· Flexibility to work ad-hoc shifts, including nights with sleep-in duties

· Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
