Graduate Math’s Classroom Assistant: What we are looking for
KPi Education are looking for an academically strong Graduate Math’s Classroom Assistant who is excited by the idea of working in a busy secondary school and making a difference in young people’s education.
- A 2:1 or higher degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject from a reputable university and has a strong academic track record through GCSE’s and A-Levels
- professional, reliable, and proactive approach to working in a school setting
- An understanding of how to differentiate work to suit a range of learners
- Previous experience tutoring or mentoring students in Maths (formally or informally)
Graduate Math’s Classroom Assistant: About the role
As a Graduate Math’s Classroom Assistant your main responsibilities are:
- Working with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, offering focused support to build confidence in mathematical concepts
- Helping to prepare and deliver revision activities and extension tasks to students at various ability levels
- Monitoring pupil progress, recording interventions and outcomes, and feeding back to teachers and Heads of Department
- Collaborating with teaching staff during lessons—circulating in class, helping explain key content, and identifying students who may need additional support or stretch
