Lunchtime Supervisor in Wolverhampton, West Midlands

Flourish Education is looking for several enthusiastic and dedicated Lunchtime Supervisors at a school in the Wolverhampton area. The lunchtime supervisor would be required to work as part of a team supervising students during their lunch break in the dining area and designated outdoor spaces, ensuring a safe environment.

You will be responsible for supervising pupils during lunchtime, including in the dining hall and other designated areas around the school. Duties will include cleaning up spillages, assisting with clearing away food, and helping to stack tables and chairs. You will ensure that pupils remain within permitted areas, manage instances of misbehaviour appropriately, and report any unresolved issues to the duty teacher. You will also attend to any pupils who are unwell or injured, ensuring they receive appropriate medical attention and reporting any serious incidents. Additionally, you will be expected to understand and uphold your responsibilities under child protection legislation, reporting any concerns to a senior supervisor or the headteacher.

This will be a long-term role and could lead to a permanent position for the right candidate. The role would be working for 2 hours per day, Monday – Friday. 11:30 am-13:30pm.

This role is required to start as soon as possible.

Required skills and experience

• Higher-level teaching assistant (HLTA) qualification, teaching assistant Level 2 or 3 qualification preferred
• Previous experience working in a school setting.
• A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months.
• Minimum of 2 excellent references required.
