Are you a dedicated and passionate Primary Teacher who thrives on creating stability and fostering growth in children? Do you have the strength to lead and provide the foundation students need to succeed? If you're an experienced KS2 teacher with a strong commitment to both teaching and stability, we want to hear from you!

Flourish Education is looking for an experienced and dynamic Year 6 Primary Teacher to provide consistency and guidance for a one-form entry Year 6 class throughout the academic year. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead with a focus on stability, ensuring students are supported in their learning, especially in preparation for SATS.

This role involves full teaching responsibility for a Year 6 class, including planning, delivering lessons, and marking students' work. The successful candidate will be expected to provide a structured learning environment and manage all aspects of teaching, ensuring students are well-prepared for SATS and the end of key stage assessments. Previous marking resources are available to support your workload, and the class will be assisted by a dedicated teaching assistant. In addition to your teaching duties, candidates will be required to attend staff meetings to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the school’s overall development. The position is a fixed-term role, running from September until July 2026.

We’re looking for a teacher who brings both strength and stability to the classroom, providing a steady presence while nurturing student growth. The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with a strong understanding of KS2 curriculum and assessments.
  • Be experienced in teaching Year 6, particularly with SATS preparation.
  • Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and create a calm, structured learning environment.
  • Have a commitment to providing consistency and stability for students throughout the academic year.
  • Be enthusiastic, approachable, and able to nurture students’ social and academic development.
  • Hold an up-to-date DBS (or be willing to obtain one) and have at least 2 strong references.

What We Offer:

  • £162 to £223 a day, which equates to £31,590 to £43,607 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
  • Holiday pay (12.07% of your day rate) for PAYE candidates.
  • Pension contributions.
  • KCSIE-compliant Safeguarding and Prevent Duty training, including modules on legislation, FGM, and abuse.
  • A £100 welcome bonus when you join Flourish Education.
  • A supportive team that ensures you have the flexibility to work as you want, in schools you enjoy, to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
  • Regular support from a dedicated consultant throughout the process and during your time in the role.
