Locum Social Worker within Assessments Team in Havering, earning between £37.52 and potentially higher rate dependent on experience per hour. Work arrangements are hybrid with interviews ongoing. What you will do:
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans for children and families in need of support.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to provide seamless care and protection.
- Manage a caseload efficiently, ensuring timely responses and interventions.
- Attend regular team meetings and engage in reflective practice with colleagues.
- Undertake statutory work, including case conferences and court proceedings where necessary.
Requirements:
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, particularly within child and family assessments and statutory work.
Havering offers a robust support system, including two permanent consultant social workers. You will work directly with these consultants, receiving guidance and encouragement. Systemic Practitioners are also available to provide consultation and support. Each team includes a Team Manager and two Assistant Practitioners, ensuring all complex casework is given adequate support.
