Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out safeguarding assessments and enquiries:

  • Section 17 Children in Need

  • Section 47 Child Protection assessments

  • Safeguarding enquiries under the Care Act (Adults)

• Develop and implement protection plans in partnership with professionals and external agencies to ensure the safety and welfare of individuals.

• Attend and contribute meaningfully to multi-agency meetings, including:

  • Child Protection Conferences

  • Core Group Meetings

  • Strategy Meetings

• Provide direct support and guidance to families, explaining safeguarding processes, offering resources, and promoting positive change to ensure safety and well-being.

• Maintain high-quality, accurate, and timely case records and documentation, ensuring all legal and procedural requirements are met.
