The postholder will provide expert, authoritative advice and take strategic and operational responsibility for ensuring statutory compliance and continuous improvement in health and safety performance. This will be predominantly site based with flexible working.Key Responsibilities Act as the competent person under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.Lead fire risk assessments, DSEAR assessments and asbestos management arrangements.Provide professional health and safety advice across facilities management and construction projects, including CDM 2015 support.Manage audits, inspections, incident investigations and statutory reporting.Oversee external health and safety consultants and specialist contractors.Develop and deliver health and safety training and contribute to policy and strategy development. About You You will be an experienced health and safety professional with strong expertise in fire safety, facilities management and construction environments, ideally within a large, complex organisations. You will be confident influencing senior stakeholders and promoting a positive safety culture.Essential Requirements Level 6 Health and Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent). Level 4 Fire Safety qualification (or equivalent). Third-party certification as a Fire Risk Assessor or Auditor. Extensive experience delivering health and safety services, audits and incident investigations. Desirable Experience in facilities management or construction projects Asbestos Management (P405) qualification. Working knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations.
