You will play a key role in embedding a strong safety culture across cleaning and soft services delivery, ensuring compliance, consistency and continuous improvement.The Role Lead health & safety strategy across a major rail-associated contractEnsure full compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 standardsAct as the subject matter expert for safety within a live operational rail environmentConduct audits, inspections and risk assessments across multiple sitesSupport operational teams in safe delivery of services within regulated environmentsInvestigate incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actionsEngage with client stakeholders, ensuring alignment with safety expectations and standardsDeliver training, toolbox talks and ongoing safety briefingsDrive continuous improvement in safety performance and reporting About You Proven experience in a Safety Manager or senior HSEQ role within facilities management, cleaning or soft servicesEssential exposure to rail environments or contracts interfacing with rail (e.g. stations, depots, transport hubs)Strong understanding of rail safety culture, processes and terminologyWorking knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 systems and complianceNEBOSH qualification (or equivalent)Confident communicator, able to influence operational teams and senior stakeholdersProactive, detail-oriented and solutions-focusedComfortable working across multiple sites in a fast-paced, operational setting Experience & Skills Experience managing safety within high-footfall, public-facing environmentsStrong audit, reporting and compliance management capabilityAbility to build relationships with both internal teams and external clientsExperience driving behavioural safety and cultural change initiatives This is an excellent opportunity to join a complex, high-profile contract where safety is critical to operational success.
