Key Responsibilities Undertake statutory assessments in accordance with the Children Act 1989. Assess risk and protective factors impacting children and families. Develop and implement child-centred care and support plans. Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners including health services, education providers, and police. Participate in strategy meetings, child protection enquiries, and court proceedings where required. Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records in line with statutory requirements. Ensure safeguarding standards are upheld in accordance with local authority policies and national guidance. Essential Requirements Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification (Degree / DipSW / CQSW). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working within Children’s Services or Assessment Teams. Strong understanding of child safeguarding legislation and statutory frameworks.
