What You Will Do Assess adults and children with disabilities, arranging equipment and adaptations to maximise independence and safety, including major adaptations where required. Carry out risk assessments for complex moving and handling situations, developing and implementing robust management plans. Actively involve service users and carers in assessments, support planning, and access to Direct Payments. Identify and implement practical solutions, including assistive technology, and provide demonstrations to ensure safe and effective use. Maintain accurate and timely case records, monitoring and reviewing support plans to ensure they remain effective and appropriate. Ensure systems are kept up to date for efficient service delivery and performance monitoring. Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, providing guidance, support, and professional advice to Social Workers. Work collaboratively with colleagues and wider health and social care professionals to ensure smooth service user pathways and transitions. Engage with ongoing developments and best practice within Adult Social Care and Children’s Services. Requirements Essential HCPC registration. Minimum 2 years’ post-qualifying experience in a relevant Occupational Therapy setting. Experience working with adults and/or children with disabilities, including equipment and adaptation provision. Strong assessment, risk management, and report-writing skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Why Rutland? This is a newly created role within a family office overseeing a broad and varied portfolio of interests including a large-scale farming and agricultural operation, an eco-tourism venture, a residential property portfolio, private companies, investment interests and a partnership structure.The principal is forward-thinking, decisive and ready to modernise. They are looking for someone who can bring clarity, structure and strategic insight to the finance function while acting as a trusted and discreet adviser at the highest level.The RoleThis is a hands-on, build-it position with genuine autonomy and scope.
