Responsibilities - Hybrid working :- Four days a week on site, one day a week remote working - Working within a small team of consultants to support the nuclear build - Working with and supporting the Project/Package Management team - Reviewing and commenting on Contractor/Consultants electrical design documentation - Attending on-site and off-site meetings - Liaison directly with Client/Contractors and Consultants - Problem solving and contributing to innovative mechanical and electrical design solutions - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant design standards and regulations - Collaborative working with external (Client side) Mechanical and Electrical Consultants, Architects, - Civils, Structural and Project team members to ensure coordinated and efficient delivery of projects - Working within a high regulated industry Qualifications - Civil Engineering/Construction related Qualification - HNC, BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng. - Experienced Electrical Design Engineer with good all-round knowledge of building services systems including customer facing experience. - Familiarity with and ability to constructively comment on design documentation and the output of software such as, Amtech, AutoCAD and Revit. - Familiarity with RIBA and BSRIA Design Stage Deliverables (Desirable)

Mechanical Design Engineer Location - Plymouth My client is currently recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer on a live MOD site. Responsibilities As a Mechanical Package Manager, you will be responsible for the following: - Ensure all works are procured, planned, and carried out safely in accordance with project requirements and UK law. - Review designs with the design teams and client to ensure they are optimised for efficient and safe construction, fully compliant with standards and contract requirements. - Manage robust change control and manage risk and opportunity. - As required, provide accurate and timely information to the project management team for both site progress and financial reporting - Manage the successful completion of the project/area under control in line with agreed quality and commercial plans to achieve targets within agreed timescales and cost constraints. Ensure the design and installation meets internal and client specifications and statutory requirements as a minimum. - Provide leadership for the project team members within your area of control, setting clear expectations, offering guidance and feedback to maximise the performance of the team and ensure objectives are met, managing performance accordingly. - Contribute to the identification of projects risks and opportunities, supporting project team members, providing suggestions, taking responsibility for the mitigation or enhancement of those within your area of control. - Understands relevant budgets, commercial priorities and their implications, in relation to job role. Ability to make sound decisions, based on clear criteria and facts. Manages own workload in line with project goals and priorities. - Keep accurate records. - Ensure necessary Appointments are made by the authorising Engineer for all the Mechanical works. Qualifications - Academic Qualifications - Civil Engineering related Qualification (HNC, BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng). - SMSTS - Experience of similar role, preferred in relevant sector (ie Nuclear and Defence) - CSCS - White PQP/AQP
