Commercial Gas Engineer (HVAC) Locations: Luton / Stevenage / Bishops StortfordSalary: £48,656.73 total salary, including 5% SLA and standby paymentHours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per weekContract: PermanentWe’re looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a growing HVAC team working across a major UK contract. This is a mobile role covering multiple retail sites across Luton, Stevenage, Bishops Stortford and the surrounding areas. You’ll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, servicing commercial heating systems and supporting the wider HVAC requirements across the estate. The role Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across multiple retail sites. Service and repair commercial boilers, fans, pumps, AHUs and FCUs. Complete minor alterations and installations within your area of competence. Attend breakdowns and diagnose faults efficiently. Identify non-repairable equipment and recommend suitable replacement options. Complete service reports and update work through a PDA system. Order parts and spares in line with company procedures. Work as part of a 24/7 on-call rota, approximately 1 week in 4. Maintain high standards of health, safety, compliance and customer service. About you NVQ or SVQ Level 3 in Heating, Ventilation, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC or an equivalent qualification. Previous experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance. Experience working across commercial or retail environments. Full UK driving licence. Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces. Good customer service and communication skills.
