Substance Misuse Recovery WorkerLocation: LancashirePay Rate: £22 – £24 per hourContract Type: TemporaryHours: Full-timeSeven Resourcing are recruiting for experienced Substance Misuse Recovery Workers to support adults accessing drug and alcohol recovery services across Lancashire, with opportunities around Preston and Accrington.This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in substance misuse, drug and alcohol services, addiction, mental health, criminal justice, or community-based recovery support who are passionate about helping individuals achieve sustainable recovery outcomes.About the RoleAs a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, you will work directly with adults experiencing drug and alcohol dependency, delivering structured, person-centred interventions to support recovery, harm reduction, and long-term positive change.Depending on the service, you may work as a Recovery Worker, Recovery Coordinator or Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator, managing a caseload, completing assessments, developing recovery plans and working collaboratively with clinical teams and partner agencies.Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of adults accessing substance misuse and addiction servicesComplete comprehensive assessments including risk, safeguarding, and substance use assessmentsDevelop and review personalised recovery and care plansDeliver one-to-one and group-based recovery interventionsProvide harm reduction advice and relapse prevention supportWork closely with prescribing teams, mental health services, housing providers, probation, and other partner agenciesMaintain accurate and timely case recordsIdentify and respond appropriately to safeguarding concernsSupport service users to access education, employment, housing, and community servicesPromote engagement, motivation and positive behaviour changeSupport individuals involved with the criminal justice system where required About You Experience working within substance misuse, drug and alcohol, addiction, recovery, or community servicesExperience supporting individuals with complex or multiple needsUnderstanding of addiction, recovery models and harm reductionExperience completing assessments, care planning and risk managementStrong communication, engagement and motivational skillsExperience working with criminal justice, probation, mental health, housing or community services is desirableConfident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamKnowledge of safeguarding adults and childrenEnhanced DBS required Relevant backgrounds may include: Recovery Worker, Recovery Coordinator, Substance Misuse Worker, Substance Misuse Practitioner, Drug and Alcohol Worker, Recovery Practitioner, Criminal Justice Recovery Worker, Criminal Justice Practitioner, Key Worker or similar roles.Why Join Seven Resourcing?With over a decade of experience matching skilled professionals with leading public and private sector employers, Seven Resourcing is rated 'Excellent' on Trustpilot with over 3,000 five-star reviews.
