This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer looking to work within a large-scale industrial environment, with the potential for career progression for someone who demonstrates the right qualities.The site manufactures wood-based panels, with a highly industrialised production process involving raw material preparation, drying, resin and wax application, pressing, cooling and finishing.You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment across the factory, yard and offices, working as part of an experienced engineering team to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime.Sector – Manufacturing Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Shift Electrician Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment. Experience carrying out planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance. Recognised electrical engineering qualification Desirable Requirements for the Shift Electrician Previous experience working as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in the UK. Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, particularly 5/40 systems. Experience with Siemens S5 PLCs. Experience within a continuous-process or heavy manufacturing environment. Previous experience working on large-scale production machinery.
