Lift Supervisor – HARP ProjectLocation: Bury, BL9 8RNRate of Pay: £24.59 per hourStart Date: 14/09/2026Hours: Full-timeThe OpportunityWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Lift Supervisor to join a major infrastructure project in the North West.The role will be working on the Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme (HARP), a major United Utilities infrastructure programme involving the replacement of six tunnel sections along the Haweswater Aqueduct route.The works at Haslingden and Woodgate Hill form part of this significant tunnelling and infrastructure programme.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs a Lift Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising lifting operations on site and ensuring all activities are completed safely and in accordance with approved lifting plans and site procedures.Duties will include:* Supervising lifting operations and lifting teams.* Coordinating with crane operators, banksmen and site management.* Ensuring lifting operations are carried out in accordance with approved lifting plans and RAMS.* Checking lifting accessories and equipment are suitable and correctly used.* Maintaining safe working practices at all times.* Supporting the site team with day-to-day lifting requirements.* Ensuring all lifting activities comply with relevant health and safety requirements.RequirementsThe successful candidate will have:* Previous experience working as a Lift Supervisor on construction or civil engineering projects.* A valid and relevant Lift Supervisor qualification/ticket.* Good knowledge and understanding of lifting operations.* Experience working to lifting plans and RAMS.* Strong communication and organisational skills.* A strong commitment to health and safety.* Relevant site cards/tickets as required for the project.What’s on Offer?* £24.59 per hour* Opportunity to work on a major infrastructure project.* Immediate start available.* Weekly pay.* Support from our experienced recruitment team throughout the placement.How to ApplyIf you are an experienced Lift Supervisor looking for your next opportunity and are interested in working on this major infrastructure project, please contact:Alex Wyatt07483 100112alex.wyatt@vgcgroup.co.ukAbout VGC GroupVGC Group is a leading labour supply provider, working with major contractors on major infrastructure and construction projects across the UK.
