Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Hours: 3-week rotating shift pattern
- Week 1:08.30 -17.30 Monday to Friday
- Week:10.00 – 19.00 Monday to Friday
- Week 3:08.30 – 17.30 Monday to Friday and a Saturday 09.00 – 17.00
Duration: Temporary ongoing
Payrate: £14.00 per hour
The role:
We’re currently recruiting for an experienced and organised Warehouse Supervisor to join a busy warehouse operation in Stoke-on-Trent, with a main focus on overseeing the Goods In function.
This is a fast-paced role where you will be responsible for supervising the team, coordinating incoming deliveries and ensuring stock is checked, accurately recorded and put away efficiently. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities effectively in a busy warehouse environment.
Main Duties:
- Supervise and support the warehouse team, maintaining high standards of performance, morale and Health & Safety
- Train and support new members of the warehouse team
- Oversee the Goods In process, ensuring deliveries are checked, recorded and booked in accurately and efficiently
- Check deliveries against documentation and report any shortages, damages or discrepancies
- Ensure stock is correctly stored, replenished and moved to the appropriate locations
- Ensure picking, packing and despatch operations are completed accurately and on time
- Monitor warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other machinery, ensuring pre-use checks are completed and any issues are reported
- Support customer collections and assist with queries relating to deliveries and shipments
- Coordinate outgoing shipments and ensure goods are prepared for despatch
- Assist with stock checks and inventory management
- Provide cover and support for other supervisory and management duties when required
- Act as a point of contact for warehouse management system queries
About you:
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role
- Experience overseeing Goods In and incoming deliveries
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and warehouse procedures
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
- Comfortable using warehouse management systems and basic computer systems
- Confident handling stock discrepancies and resolving issues
