Decontamination & Warehouse Operative
Location: Eastbourne Wheelchair Service Centre
Salary: £11,952.72 per annum actual salary (£12.77 per hour)
Hours: 18 hours per week, Monday to Friday (working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate)
About the Role
We are currently looking for a Decontamination & Warehouse Operative to join the team at our East Sussex Wheelchair Service Centre based in Eastbourne.
Ross Care are leading provider of healthcare service solutions, including Wheelchair Services. We work closely with NHS and Social Care organisations, providing a complete outsourced wheelchair service that reduces costs, delivers high-quality support and enhances the patient experience.
This role is primarily focused on the decontamination and cleaning of returned mobility equipment. Once these responsibilities have been completed, you will also support the wider warehouse operation with general warehouse duties and stock-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate and clean manual and electric wheelchairs, static seating systems and accessories returned by service users.
- Support stock management and stock control.
- Assist with general warehouse duties.
- Complete warehouse-related administrative tasks.
- Provide additional warehouse support as required.
Experience
- Basic understanding of mechanical engineering.
- General warehouse experience.
- Experience working within a contract or service delivery environment.
- Awareness of audit processes.

- Team player with a collaborative approach.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
- Flexible and willing to support different areas of the warehouse.
- A full UK driving licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
